The main results were: the predominant age was 21 to 25 years (38.14%); followed by majority was 52.38% of Mariano Roque Alonso; 42% of pregnant wo- men had 5 or more controls (42.5%); The risk factors were hypertension in the previous pregnancy (53.85%), chronic hypertension (15.38%), type 1 or 2 diabetes (30.77%); mi- nor risk factors 10% primigravida, 5% age over 40 years, 30% obesity and 45% with a family history of gestational hypertension. In relation to complications: 37 patients had placental abruption (88%), 4 patients had premature birth (9.5%) and only 1 patient (2.3%) had a seizure. In conclusion, it was possible to characterize the prevalence of pre-eclampsia during pregnancy at the Loma Pyta Hospital during the chosen period; no major complications were observed thanks to the timely intervention of the professional, controlling the patients and foreseeing medical controls according to the need, there were no major maternal complications due to the good follow-up of the medical professional with the pregnant women. All patients were classified as high risk and completed the pregnancy by caesarean section. The work will serve as a basis for carrying out other research in the area.
