The main results obtained were: a higher percentage of male students were analyzed; in terms of age, the highest number was found between 10 and 11 years of age; in relation to nutrition, the male sex has a higher rate of malnutrition by deficit; the female sex has a higher rate of malnutrition by excess. The conclusion is that adequate nutrition can lead to a state of mild anemia. A state of severe malnutrition may be accompanied by hemoglobin levels within normal parameters.
